Maximus Café, awarded best café in the Sydney CBD, has launched a vibrant new breakfast and lunch menu, focused on light and healthy dishes to complement the airy and sophisticated ambience of Sydney’s iconic GPO building.

Guests can escape the bustle of the CBD under the light-filled eight storey glass atrium and enjoy 13 new culinary creations created by Head Chef Linda Rozali. Each dish showcases premium produce, refined ingredients and seasonal flavours.

The breakfast menu includes a berry chia breakfast bowl with almonds and orange blossom; a Mediterranean breakfast plate with cauliflower, avocado, spinach, almond dukkah and hommus on sourdough toast with a poached egg; and an open burrito with avocado, spicy beans, chorizo, red onions, coriander and a fried egg.

For lunch, Maximus offers a variety of gourmet options including quinoa salad with cucumber, spinach, tomato, ricotta, almonds and a mint and lime dressing; smoked salmon on sourdough with lettuce, capers, red onion and cream cheese; and a cheesy sweet potato, jalapeno and bacon quesadilla served with a side of sour cream and spicy tomato relish.
